3D Technical Artist (Unreal Engine + Blender) – Remote | Equity-Based

Antebellum Digital Softwares Ltd is a UK-based startup building innovative games and software, with a mission to empower students, graduates, and early-stage creators. We're passionate about helping new talent gain hands-on experience, build real skills, and create industry-grade work in a collaborative environment.

We’re seeking a 3D Technical Artist to join our game development team. This role blends technical skill and artistic creativity, helping to bring 3D models to life in Unreal Engine by working with shaders, optimisation, lighting, and visual consistency.

We're not hiring professionals. We're looking for early-stage talent who are still learning but have a clear understanding of the tools and a strong willingness to grow.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and integrate 3D models into Unreal Engine, ensuring they are visually consistent and optimised for performance

  • Work with Blender and Unreal to manage materials, lighting, LODs, and shaders

  • Support the art team in bridging the gap between creative assets and engine-ready content

  • Troubleshoot and resolve visual or performance issues related to 3D assets in-engine

  • Collaborate closely with developers and artists to support a smooth workflow

What We're Looking For

  • Basic experience with Blender for modelling and asset preparation

  • Familiarity with importing assets, managing materials, and using the viewport in Unreal Engine

  • An understanding of UV mapping, level of detail (LOD), and lightmap baking is a plus

  • Interest or experience in shader/material editing is an advantage

  • Someone who enjoys solving problems and making things “work right” visually and technically

  • A portfolio or samples of previous work (even if incomplete or experimental)

Compensation

This is an equity-based opportunity. More details will be shared with shortlisted applicants.

Location

This role is fully remote. We welcome candidates from anywhere, as long as you can collaborate and communicate clearly.

Why Join AD Softwares?

  • Work on a real Unreal Engine game project

  • Build experience that matters in both creative and technical workflows

  • Be part of a team focused on growth, learning, and innovation

  • Develop in a space that values creativity, exploration, and excellence, not perfection

How to Apply

Please send:
